Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) Problems with Android 9 Pie: problems with calls and mobile connection

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) seems not to go particularly well with Android 9 Pie: after the arrival of the update, some users are complaining about problems with calls and many more are having problems with mobile browsing.

In recent weeks we had first told you about the start of the roll out of the coveted new version of the Android operating system with attached One UI. After the initial enthusiasm for the profound renewal brought by the new software update, some users have begun to deal with some decidedly annoying bugs for a smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) with Android 9 Pie: impossible to call

Although modern smartphones now provide us with an incredibly high amount of features and the possibility of communicating with other users, telephone calls obviously remain a function of primary importance.

It often happens that a new software update also brings with it new bugs and the one in which some owners of Galaxy A7 (2018) came across in the days following the arrival of Android 9 Pie is particularly annoying: it has become impossible to call. Or rather, the phone calls also start, but the caller hears nothing. The problem is serious and may not be particularly easy to solve. Normal bug fixes may not be sufficient and it seems that not even a reset of the device to the factory settings is useful. This is to confirm that the bug is a structural part of the new software and does not depend on problems encountered during installation.

Slow connection

Numerous users are also complaining about a second problem with their Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) with Pie and the One UI: mobile browsing is particularly slow.

According to the first tests, the problems in question could specifically concern the Dutch model, it is not clear if users in other countries are also experiencing these bugs.

Solutions

The most logical solution to the problem is Samsung's release of a new update as quickly as possible. It appears that the South Korean producer is aware of the situation and is working to remedy it.

In the meantime, if you have not yet updated your Galaxy A7 (2018) and want to take preventive action, you just need to enter the Settings for software updates and disable the option to automatically download them.

Have you already received Android 9 Pie with the One UI on your Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018)? Are you experiencing any problems? Let us know in the comments.
