Arrow's showrunner, Beth Schwartz, will continue to work with Warner Bros. Television after the series ends
Beth Schwartz will also be able to finish working on Arrow after the series ends with its eighth season, but her relationship with Warner Bros. Television will continue, having signed a two-year general agreement. As reported by Deadline, the agreement sees Schwartz - who started working as an assistant screenwriter in Arrow and made her way over the years in the production of the show - will continue to be in business with the WB (and probably also with Greg Berlanti in the near future.
Arrow: Grant Gustin shares a message for the end of the series
Schwartz, who also worked on Legends of Tomorrow and Hart of Dixie, thanked fans on social media for their support after the announcement. Schwartz took over as Arrow's showrunner at the start of the current season, the seventh, which "renewed" the series by introducing new characters and new ideas. She will continue to carry out the same task also in the ten episodes of the final season, broadcast in autumn, and then who knows. Maybe she could take care of Batwoman, should it be ordered in series - only the pilot is safe for now.
