After appearing in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and two TV movies, the Ewoks could return to the screens. According to MovieHole information, a series based on the Ewoks is being prepared for Disney +.
They are creatures hated by many Star Wars fans, but also loved by many others. The Ewoks are a little Jar Jar Binks of the first trilogy of George Lucas, but that does not prevent that they will perhaps soon join the platform Disney +.
After the series The Mandalorian directed by Jon Favreau with Pedro Pascal in the title role, and the prequel series to Rogue One based on Cassian Andor, other series Star Wars could see the day.
According to information from MovieHole that would be informed by a reliable source at Lucasfilm, Disney is secretly working on several Star Wars projects for the Disney + platform. One of these projects would be a series based on Ewoks. This new series will not be available at the launch of the platform next fall, but should be part of a "Phase 2" with other Star Wars series next year. For now, we do not know if this series will be live version or animated version, but knowing the low success of the Ewok with many Star Wars fans, we can easily imagine that it will be an animated series for children.
As for the future of Star Wars movies, it will be necessary to wait for the Star Wars Celebration, next month, to have the full info. Many conferences are scheduled during this annual event dedicated to fans of Star Wars, after several months without anything we put in their mouths, the month of April will be loaded in announcements about the Galaxy far, far away.
