The ZTE Axon S Renderings Show Horizontal Slders and Triple Cameras

ZTE Axon S, a new high-end smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer, has been portrayed in a series of interesting renderings, which highlight peculiarities such as the horizontal scrolling slider and the triple rear camera assisted by a xenon flash.

During the MWC 2019 in Barcelona ZTE showed off its new flagship smartphone, the Axon 10 Pro 5G that we showed you in a preview video. In the event that this model had not convinced you because of the numerous and barely concealed similarities with other more well-known devices, know that the Chinese manufacturer has in store a device that is undoubtedly more particular.

Some renderings of the new ZTE Axon S have just emerged on the net, which should in its own way decline the concept of the slider phone and have rather interesting features.

Last year, several manufacturers, with the aim of eliminating the notch and making smartphones in full screen, brought back the slider phone, proposing their own interpretations. The approaches used were different, with HONOR Magic 2, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and OPPO Find X as examples, but with one constant: all these new smartphones slide vertically and the mechanism serves to hide the compartment in whole or in part photo.

The new ZTE Axon S pursues the same purpose, but uses a horizontal scrolling mechanism which, once opened, reveals the many cameras of the device. Axon S, according to the renderings, has a triple rear camera, with a 48 MP main sensor and 5x optical zoom. A xenon flash is placed a little lower. The front camera is double instead. When the smartphone is closed, none of the cameras is visible, which means that to use them you must necessarily use the slider.

The renderings of this new ZTE refer to 5G support and the presence of a USB Type-C port, but they say nothing about the remaining technical specifications, which will probably include the Snapdragon 855 and at least 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory . Wireless charging would certainly also be welcome, a function missing on the mentioned new Axon 10 Pro 5G.
