Breaking Bad: RJ Mitte confirms that he will not be present in the movie

Breaking Bad

No role for RJ Mitte, Walter White's son in the upcoming Breaking Bad movie

There are still few details surrounding the upcoming film on Breaking Bad, the film that will follow the events that ended with the end of the TV series (2008-2013). The last news, however, concerns an absence in the cast: RJ Mitte, the interpreter of Walter White's son, will not be present. The actor, in fact, claimed to "not be present in the film". "It's a pity", he continues, because RJ Mitte already imagined a future for Flynn in which the character, now part of the DEA, is committed to finding out what happened to his uncle Hank.

Jesse returns from Walt after the entire shooting, Walt and Jesse disappear for five years, and Walt Jr. still lives with his sister, almost in the custody of the DEA. Then Walt Jr. practically joins the DEA and hunts down his father. In a sense, he takes the role of Hank. My idea is that he is trying to get out, find out what happened to Hank and chase after Jesse and Walt.

Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston reiterated that Walter White is indeed dead. What is not clear is whether Flynn knows it or not. Things ended badly between Flynn and his parents: Flynn refused to call himself Walt Jr. after learning about Walter White's criminal secrets and accused his mother Skyler of being just as bad for her involvement in money laundering. In addition, Flynn is the only main character on the show to never have met Jesse Pinkman.

Breaking Bad: the film will arrive on Netflix and on AMC

The news, according to which Vince Gilligan was planning to develop a sequel for Breaking Bad dates back to last year. The new events will focus mainly on the role of Jesse (Aaron Paul). RJ Mitte's desire to return to it is still very high, although it seems that there is no role for him in the film.

Obviously I would be interested in being part of it. I miss being part of a job that pays really well. It was an iconic part of my life. I started this show when I was 13 and finished it when I was 20, and that was my whole career, that was my whole existence for those 7 years, and I miss that family. I miss these people. It would be nice to be part of it.
