ATTENTION SPOILER FROM AVENGERS: ENDGAME - After helping to save the universe in Avengers: Endgame, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) just wants to be a kid and take a - well deserved - break. But from his great power comes great responsibility: in fact, as we could see in the very latest Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) has different plans for him. Jon Watts, the director of this latest film, said about it:

In the last film [Spider-Man: Homecoming], it was like he was ready to intervene, but the world had rejected him. Now, the world is asking him to intervene but he is not sure he is ready for this responsibility. He's still a 16-year-old boy from Queens. It's something we can relate to. We remember when we were children and we wanted desperately to be treated as adults. But suddenly you are treated like an adult and you realize that maybe it was better when you were treated as a child. Once this threshold is exceeded, you cannot go back.

The very latest events of the latest MCU films involving Spider-Man saw him first receive Tony Stark's approval, and then board a spaceship and be named Avenger, then disappear because of Thanos, to then reappear and mark some decisive action in Avengers: Endgame. In the next Spider-Man: Far From Home, instead, Peter Parker will have to face the fallout with the new ally Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), helped by Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), the faithful right arm of Tony Stark.

The Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer confirms the multiverse

"I think the foundation of this story is to try to find your place in the world if the center of your world is gone. I've always liked Happy as a character and using it to explore some of these things was really exciting. To explore a world without Tony, who was the man who created Iron Man. ”Jon Watts continued.

Spider-Man: Far From Home arrives at the cinema on July 2nd.
